Why does the stand matter? In the world of ultra-precision, "flex" is the enemy. While granite provides superior thermal stability and hardness, a poorly designed stand can cause the granite plate to "sag" under its own weight, introducing a curvature that renders Grade 00 accuracy void. Our stands are designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure the support points (Bessel Points) are perfectly positioned, minimizing gravity-induced deflection of the granite.

• Bessel Point Alignment: Ensure the granite plate rests exactly on the designated support pads. This minimizes internal stress and maintains flatness.
• Leveling Checks: We recommend re-checking the level of your stand every six months, or after any significant seismic activity or floor loading changes in your facility.
• Environment Control: For the best results, use our stands within our recommended 10,000m² constant temperature and humidity environments to prevent thermal expansion of the steel frame.
• Cleaning: Keep the leveling screw threads clean and lightly lubricated to ensure smooth adjustment when recalibration is required.
