I. Overview of Granite Platforms
Granite platforms are machined from hard rock formed by natural geological processes. This type of stone, through long-term natural evolution, possesses exceptional stability and strength, making it ideal for use as a reference platform for high-precision testing equipment. Its uniform texture, dark gloss, and dense structure offer excellent wear resistance, resistance to rust, magnetization, deformation, and acid and alkali resistance.

Granite platforms are classified into four levels of flatness accuracy: 1, 0, 00, and 000, with lower levels indicating higher accuracy. They are widely used in high-precision measurement applications such as machinery manufacturing, instrument calibration, and precision testing, and are an indispensable tool for precision measurement.

II. Precautions for Using Granite Platforms
Cleaning Before Use: Before operation, ensure the platform is flat and clean. It is recommended to use a clean, soft cloth or alcohol wipe to remove dust and impurities from the surface to prevent any impact on measurement results.

Please Place Workpieces Gently: Place workpieces on the platform slowly and steadily to avoid impacts or scratches, which could compromise the platform's accuracy.

Controlling Loads: The weight of the workpiece must not exceed the rated load capacity of the platform, otherwise it may cause structural deformation or damage.

Avoid Sliding Workpieces: Roughly machined workpieces must not slide on the platform to prevent scratches and surface damage.

Thermal Balance Measurement: Before measurement, the workpiece and measuring tool should be allowed to rest on the platform for at least 30 minutes to ensure temperature consistency and minimize thermal expansion and contraction errors.

Post-Use Cleaning: After measurement, remove the workpiece, clean the platform surface, wipe it with a neutral detergent, and then cover it with a dust cover to prevent deformation under prolonged pressure.

Long-Term Storage: If the platform is not used for an extended period, thoroughly clean it, apply anti-rust oil to the surface and steel parts, and cover it with dust- and moisture-proof packaging to prevent damage from the environment.

Working Environment Requirements: The platform should be placed in a vibration-proof, dust-proof, dry, well-ventilated location with a stable temperature to maintain stable performance.

Temperature Control: Repeated precision measurements must be performed under constant temperature conditions to ensure reliable measurement data.

Prohibited from casual use: Non-measurement items must not be placed on the platform surface, nor should any impact be performed. For cleaning, use 75% medical alcohol; avoid using strong corrosive chemicals.

Re-leveling is required after relocation: After relocating the platform, it must be re-leveled to ensure accuracy.

III. Granite Platform Maintenance and Care
Daily Cleaning: We recommend using a slightly damp soft cloth with a mild neutral detergent. Avoid excessive use of water. Dry and polish immediately with a dry cloth after cleaning.

Preventing Impact Damage: Because granite is hard but relatively brittle, avoid dropping or striking the platform with metal tools or heavy objects to prevent pitting or cracking.

Oil Treatment: In the event of oil contamination, use ethanol, acetone, or lighter fluid, then rinse thoroughly and dry.

Regular Inspection and Maintenance: We recommend an accuracy re-inspection and repair every 6-12 months. Frequent use can shorten the inspection period, and this is best performed by a professional.

Properly store measuring tools: Do not mix or randomly stack measuring tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers with other tools on the platform to prevent damage from vibration or misuse. Measuring tools should be properly stored in their designated boxes after use.

Control the measurement temperature: Measurements should be performed at a constant temperature of 20°C to ensure that the workpiece and platform are at the same temperature to prevent thermal expansion and contraction from affecting measurement results.

Keep away from heat sources and magnetic fields: Do not place the platform near heat sources, electric furnaces, or grinding machine magnetic tables to prevent thermal deformation or magnetization, which could affect platform accuracy.

Send for inspection immediately if any abnormalities are found: If burrs, pits, scratches, or flatness deviations are observed on the platform surface, discontinue use immediately and send it for professional inspection and repair to prevent cumulative errors and quality problems.

Platform repairs require professional service: If the platform is worn or deformed, have it repaired by a qualified technician. Do not repair it yourself, as this may increase the error.
