With the iterative upgrading of large-scale laser equipment, full-line automatic inspection equipment, large-format optical experimental platforms and semiconductor cabin equipment, the market demand for large-size granite precision workbenches continues to grow. Compared with conventional small granite parts, large-size workbenches feature large span, wide coverage and high load capacity. Their processing is easily troubled by uneven stress, plate warpage, unbalanced edge accuracy and full-range flatness deviation, which have long been technical bottlenecks in precision granite machining. To ensure overall accuracy consistency and structural stability of ultra-large working surfaces, it is necessary to break through traditional processing modes and adopt professional, systematic and refined processing technologies to solve the inherent processing pain points of large-size workpieces.

With years of experience in customized manufacturing of precision granite components, our company focuses on the technical difficulties in precision forming of large and super-large granite workbenches and has established a mature processing system for oversized parts. Aiming at the industry challenges of easy deformation, inconsistent accuracy and ultra-low processing tolerance of large-size plates, we have formulated standardized process specifications covering raw material selection, overall aging treatment, zoned processing, constant-temperature fine grinding and full-range calibration. We solve common problems such as accuracy attenuation, local deviation and long-term deformation of ultra-large plane workpieces, and stably supply various non-standard large-size granite precision workbenches to support high-end large-scale precision equipment.

Strict raw stone selection and integral plate cutting lay a solid foundation for large-size processing. Large-size workbenches require complete and integrated base materials, and spliced plates cannot meet precision equipment standards. Therefore, all our products are integrally cut from single natural granite blocks. We strictly select high-quality oversized raw stones with uniform texture, dense structure, no cracks, pinholes or loose defects, avoiding accuracy errors caused by natural material flaws. Meanwhile, materials are selected scientifically according to size, thickness and load parameters to ensure overall rigidity and structural uniformity and prevent stress deformation during processing and application.

Multi-stage composite aging treatment eliminates stress deformation of oversized plates. After cutting, large-size granite plates retain concentrated internal stress, which cannot be completely eliminated by ordinary simple aging and may cause latent deformation and plate warpage in later use. We adopt a composite aging process combining natural static placement and constant-temperature vibration aging to release internal stress comprehensively for a long time. Layered and phased stress elimination completely removes residual stress generated by cutting, stabilizing the structural performance of whole plates, preventing natural deformation of finished products and ensuring long-term accuracy stability.

Zoned symmetrical processing balances machining errors of ultra-large surfaces. Traditional integral processing easily causes uneven grinding force between the center and edges of large workbenches, resulting in central depression, edge protrusion and out-of-tolerance flatness. We adopt an innovative refined zoned symmetrical processing method. The ultra-large surface is divided scientifically, and all cutting, polishing and grinding parameters are unified following symmetrical, uniform and progressive processing principles. Multi-point balanced processing eliminates local machining stress, balances regional accuracy, solves the common accuracy imbalance of large workpieces and achieves highly consistent overall flatness.

Full-range fine grinding in constant-temperature, constant-humidity and dust-free workshops locks micron-level accuracy of ultra-large planes. Large-size workpieces are far more sensitive to temperature, humidity and dust than small parts, and tiny environmental fluctuations will cause micro deformation and affect overall precision. All finishing and ultra-precision grinding procedures of our large-size workbenches are completed in Class-10,000 constant-temperature and constant-humidity dust-free workshops. Stable environmental parameters eliminate processing errors caused by temperature deformation, dust scratches and uneven humidity. Meanwhile, the full-area scanning grinding method covers the center, edges, corners and groove holes to comprehensively control flatness, perpendicularity and roughness and realize unified high precision of the entire ultra-large surface.

Integrated precision forming adapts to assembly requirements of large-scale equipment. Tailored for integrated application scenarios, our workbenches are integrally formed from single stone blocks without splicing seams, delivering far higher overall rigidity and load capacity than assembled plates. According to customer drawings, T-slots, mounting holes, wiring grooves, weight-reducing hollows and leveling bases are precisely processed in one go, eliminating cumulative errors from secondary assembly. Embedded stainless steel thread inserts strengthen the bearing capacity and compatibility of mounting positions, perfectly fitting large linear motor platforms, large-format optical inspection equipment and automatic full-line equipment.

Why Next-Gen Semiconductor And Perovskite Coating Equipment Rely On Granite Air Bearing Platforms

Multi-dimensional full-range accuracy re-inspection strictly controls finished product quality. Different from the single-point detection for small workpieces, large-size workbenches adopt a full-grid detection scheme. With CNAS-traceable precision testing equipment, we conduct multi-point full-coverage inspection to capture tiny local accuracy deviations. Targeted fine calibration is performed for minor errors, and all regional data are rechecked strictly in accordance with ISO quality management system standards. This ensures that the full-range flatness, geometric tolerance and structural stability of every large-size workbench meet standards with zero quality defects.

The precision processing of large-size granite workpieces reflects the enterprise's sophisticated manufacturing capability and solves the long-standing bottleneck of ultra-large precision component manufacturing. In the future, we will continue to deepen the research and development of ultra-large granite component processing technology, optimize core procedures including stress control, zoned processing and full-range fine grinding, and break through the precision barriers of large-size ultra-high-precision workpieces. With powerful processing strength, we empower the development of high-end large-scale precision equipment industry and provide highly stable and accurate benchmark components for ultra-large precision inspection and processing equipment in various industries.
