The journey of a precision granite platform-from the raw UNPARALLELED® Black Granite block (density ≈3100kg/m3) to the final, calibrated product-involves several critical, non-negotiable steps. These include material selection, rough shaping, a crucial period for stress relief (allowing the stone to naturally stabilize its dimensional integrity), specialized CNC machining for inserts and features, and finally, the painstaking manual lapping phase. It is during this final stage, performed by our expert craftsmen in our Constant Temperature Workshops using Laser Interferometers, that nanometer accuracy is achieved.
Our massive, integrated manufacturing capacity allows us to compress these cycles while strictly maintaining quality checkpoints. We divide our lead times into two key benchmarks:
Short Cycle Platforms
For small to medium platforms-typically those up to 1500mm in length, ideal for benchtop inspection or portable applications-our efficient, four-line production system allows us to complete the entire cycle, including final calibration, in approximately 7 to 15 days.
Custom and Extra-Large Platforms
For significantly larger, custom-engineered components-such as CMM bases or multi-ton Semiconductor Equipment foundations, which can reach our maximum 20m length-the processes of stress relief and final lapping require more time. The standard lead time for these complex, large platforms is approximately 30 to 45 days.
