1. Exclusive High-Grade Substrate: Inherent Foundation for Splicing Flatness
The overall accuracy of spliced components fundamentally depends on the physical stability of the substrate. Ordinary stone materials feature loose texture, uneven density and large thermal expansion coefficients, which easily cause micro deformation, warpage and settlement after splicing, failing to meet the strict accuracy requirements of ultra-long-stroke gantries. Abandoning inferior ordinary marble widely used in the industry, UNPARALLELED Group adopts exclusive customized UNPARALLELED® black granite to eliminate potential accuracy risks from the source.
With a high density of 3100kg/m³, the customized black granite boasts a dense and uniform molecular structure, with superior physical properties exceeding imported European and American black granite. It features an extremely low thermal expansion coefficient, ultra-high compressive strength and outstanding structural stability, and will not produce structural deformation or dimensional deviation under temperature fluctuations, continuous load and long-term static placement. The consistent and stable material properties ensure uniform stress release and unified deformation coefficients of all spliced segments, effectively avoiding reference dislocation and flatness deviation caused by inconsistent materials or batches. This builds a uniform, stable and controllable material foundation for high-precision splicing, ensuring the long-term flatness consistency of ultra-long-stroke granite gantries.
2. Ultra-Large Precision Processing System: Achieving Micron-Level Matching of Spliced Segments
Ultra-long-stroke granite gantries are assembled from multiple segmented components. The premise of overall flatness control is the ultimate machining accuracy of individual segments. Only when the dimension, flatness, verticality and end-face accuracy of each unit reach the standard can seamless high-precision splicing be realized. Supported by a 200,000 ㎡ standardized production base and dedicated precision production lines, UNPARALLELED has built a professional ultra-large granite processing system that breaks the industry's dimensional and accuracy bottlenecks.
Equipped with high-precision Taiwan Nantou ultra-large grinding machines (single unit value exceeding USD 500,000), the factory supports integrated grinding of metal and non-metal precision components up to 6000mm in length, fully meeting the high-precision processing demands of ultra-long gantry segments. Supported by heavy-duty CNC machining equipment and silent traveling cranes, the workshop can process ultra-large granite workpieces with a single unit weight of 100 tons and a maximum processing length of 20 meters. One-step finishing of datum surfaces, splicing end faces and mounting surfaces effectively eliminates cumulative errors caused by secondary segmented processing.
All granite segments are finished in a 10,000 ㎡ constant-temperature and constant-humidity dust-free workshop. The floor is poured with military-grade ultra-high-hard concrete with a thickness of no less than 1000mm. Surrounding anti-vibration trenches (500mm width, 2000mm depth) and silent crane systems completely isolate external vibration, ground settlement and temperature interference. The stable and dust-free processing environment controls the flatness, end-face parallelism and verticality of each segment within micron-level tolerance, achieving nearly perfect fitting of splicing surfaces and eliminating gaps, height differences and angular deviations during assembly.
3. Hierarchical Precision Splicing Technology: Controlling Overall Cumulative Errors
The biggest challenge in multi-segment splicing of ultra-long-stroke gantries lies in cumulative error control. Ordinary splicing processes often result in qualified single-segment accuracy but unqualified overall flatness. Leveraging a team of senior technicians with more than 30 years of manual grinding experience and in compliance with global precision measurement standards, UNPARALLELED has developed a customized hierarchical pre-splicing, precise alignment and stress-free locking splicing process to achieve accurate overall flatness control for ultra-long structures.
Before formal assembly, a strict pre-splicing calibration procedure is implemented. All gantry segments are numbered and arranged in assembly sequence for stress-free free-state trial splicing. Relying on decades of nano-level manual grinding experience and micron-level tactile precision, technicians finely adjust splicing gaps and height differences to eliminate micro deviations, ensuring fully fitted joint surfaces without step differences or stress extrusion. All calibration procedures strictly comply with mainstream global standards including German DIN, American ASME, Japanese JIS and Chinese GB, ensuring professional and universal splicing accuracy.
After pre-calibration, stress-free locking splicing technology is adopted for formal assembly. Different from traditional rigid fastening methods, this process avoids residual pre-stress caused by forced alignment, preventing later warpage, deformation and flatness drift due to stress release. High-precision positioning tooling and balanced multi-point fastening ensure all segments are locked on the same datum horizontal plane and linear track, controlling the overall flatness error of ultra-long gantries within nano-level and fundamentally solving cumulative errors in long-distance splicing. Meanwhile, the semiconductor-grade dust-free assembly workshop prevents dust impurities from entering splicing gaps, ensuring long-term stable precision.
4. Full-Dimensional Traceable Inspection System: Closed-Loop Flatness Calibration
Ultimate measurement capability is the core guarantee of precision splicing. Adhering to the philosophy that "what cannot be measured cannot be manufactured precisely", UNPARALLELED has established a full set of imported high-precision inspection systems to realize closed-loop accuracy control before, during and after splicing, ensuring traceable and controllable overall flatness of ultra-long gantries.
The company is equipped with world-class imported measuring instruments, including German Mahr 0.5μm dial gauges, Swiss WYLER electronic levels, British Renishaw laser interferometers, and Mitutoyo full-series precision testing equipment. All measuring tools hold calibration certificates issued by Jinan and Shandong Provincial Metrology Institutes, with measurement accuracy traceable to national metrology standards, ensuring authoritative and reliable test data.
The inspection team conducts phased accuracy verification throughout production: detecting flatness, verticality and end-face precision after single-segment processing; monitoring splicing gaps and overall linear deviation during pre-splicing; and scanning the full stroke of assembled gantries via laser interferometers to comprehensively calibrate levelness, straightness and flatness for micro-error correction. In addition, long-term in-depth cooperation with world-class universities such as the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and national metrology institutes across Europe, America and Russia enables continuous iteration of advanced measurement algorithms and solutions, keeping the splicing flatness accuracy of ultra-long gantries at the leading industry level.
5. Standardized Quality Control System: Ensuring Long-Term Accuracy Stability
Ultra-long-stroke granite gantries serve as core datum components for high-end precision equipment, requiring not only factory ultra-high accuracy but also long-term zero-attenuation precision in service. Based on ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and CE international certification systems and the quality policy of "No excessive pursuit of precision in ultra-precision industry", UNPARALLELED has established a full-process standardized quality control system.
All production, inspection and assembly personnel receive professional metrology training and regularly update their proficiency in global testing standards including German DIN, American ASME, Japanese JIS, British BS and Russian GOST. Senior grinding technicians with micron-level tactile precision can accurately identify micro grinding capacity and splicing errors, known in the industry as "walking electronic levels". Adhering to the customer commitment of "No cheating, No concealment, No misleading", the company firmly rejects shoddy workmanship. Every ultra-long-stroke granite gantry undergoes multiple precision re-inspections and stress stability tests to ensure consistent overall flatness and long-term deformation-free performance.
