For instance, if you make long thin parts – Say, 200mm x 200mm x 4000mm – we can build you a machine exactly to those needs just as easily as we could build a stock size. Because we control the raw material and the complete process, we have the flexibility to create an effectively stockmachine, for your custom application.

Conversely, if you have a room that will only fit a machine that is 3500mm x 3500mm x 2000mm, we can make you one that fits those constraints while maximizing the measuring volume for your parts.

Or maybe you make parts that for their size – say a cube of 1000mm – are very heavy. Possibly weighing as much as 12,000 lbs. We can build a machine with a thicker plate that will accept these heavier loads, without having to increase the overall size of the machine.

This flexibility gives us the unique ability to offer solutions that allow you the customer to make decisions that are best for your project needs, without having to compromise because of the limitations of a vendor’s stock product offerings.

1. What's your standard about the thread inserts?

Inserts might seem as simple as nuts in an assembly, but they play a crucial role for proper assembly of your stage, rails, clamps, etc., to the granite base. If even one insert pulls loose or has poor threads, your entire assembly is compromised.

UNPARALLELED uses 300-series certified stainless steel inserts so you don’t have to worry about rust. We turn our own inserts in our CNC Turning Centers and we use proper thread gages for quality control inspection. We turn a specially designed pattern on the outside diameter to maximize holding power of our proprietary mix of epoxy used to secure the inserts.

Minimum insert torque ratings from DIN standard or ASME B89.3.7-2013 and Federal Specification GGG-P-463c:

As for the Holes, UNPARALLELED is capable of providing holes for location, clearance, or weight reduction. Holes range from as small as .188” for air ports to large wire-sawn holes for hubs or clearance. If a hole must be placed near the edge, a good rule of thumb for design is to maintain a wall thickness of at least the diameter of the hole between the hole and the edge. This can of course vary with the size of the hole and thickness of the granite.
