After precision inspection, granite bases will not be packed immediately. UNPARALLELED carries out pre-protection for all precision reference surfaces and edges. Different from ordinary foam wrapping, nano-level ground reference surfaces are first covered with special residue-free protective films to prevent scratches from packing materials. Custom hard corner guards are installed on sharp edges to disperse instant impact force and protect fragile corners. Holes with embedded metal inserts are plugged to stop wood scraps and dust from contaminating threads and affecting later assembly.
For packaging, custom solid wooden cases are made according to the size and weight of each base. Instead of simple foam filling, contoured supporting cushions inside the case hold the base evenly and avoid point load. Granite bases are heavy. Improper support will induce continuous stress under long-distance vibration and lead to hidden cracks. After placement, flexible straps secure the base to stop shifting inside the box during acceleration, braking and cornering. High-density buffer materials fill gaps to absorb vibration from road conditions.
Loading is another critical step for damage prevention. UNPARALLELED assigns staff to supervise loading. Boxes of granite bases must stay upright. Inversion, side placement and heavy stacking are forbidden. Large bases are placed separately with no goods stacked on top. Clear labels including fragile, this side up and no heavy load are attached to boxes. Logistics carriers are informed about the material property, so drivers can avoid sudden braking and rough roads. For overseas orders, wooden boxes are fumigated to meet export and customs requirements.
We also provide customers with unpacking guidance upon arrival. Buyers are advised to check outer packages for dents or breakage on site. Soft tools are recommended for unpacking. Pry bars shall not strike the granite directly. When lifting the base, personnel need to support the whole bottom instead of pulling corners, which may cause uneven stress.
