We custom-build robust, heat-treated wooden crates that are far more than mere containers; they are structural supports designed to isolate the granite from transit stresses. Crucially, the base must be supported only at its designated kinematic points-the same points used for the final lapping and calibration-to prevent any deflection or localized stress during movement. High-density foam or specialized blocking is strategically placed to absorb shock and prevent movement, ensuring the precision-lapped surfaces remain untouched.
